GRIFFITH WEATHER

Congratulations to the brave entrants who tackled the run to Leeton in their veterans, with about 12 cars making the journey. It was a cold and wet run for those of you who did not attend or chose to go modern.

Just to clarify any confusion, as previously advised in yesterday’s news the Roxy Theatre Tour had to be cancelled last minute. These tickets were not a purchased item and were free, so nobody was charged any money for them. The tour was going to be limited to only 3 groups of 10 so were on a ballot system. The tickets were never drawn, and no tickets were allocated to anyone.

Today’s run is made up of various activity options, which were pre-purchased with your entry. Your tickets are in your rally pack for any activities you paid for. Don’t just follow someone else as everyone is not going to the same spot, and we will all meet up again in the afternoon at 5:30pm at the assembly point for the Display and Gas Light Parade at the Griffith Tourism Hub, cnr Banna and Jondaryan Avenue – Look for an Aeroplane on a pole.

But whatever it was you chose to do today, we hope the weather is kind to you, have a great day and enjoy the local hospitality.

We hope that the entrants support the Gas Light Parade tonight and bring their cars out. It has been highly advertised, the locals are looking forward to it and we hope you are as well.
